The aim of the colloquium is to study the transformations of folk music conception in the academic discourse with focus on both its specifics and dissimilarities. Above all, it seeks to connect individual contributions in terms of searching for interdisciplinary correlations and methodological plurality. We welcome proposals spanning from historical, systematic, theoretical and musical-analytical perspectives. The colloquium aims to provide a fruitful forum for collective discussion, exploring parallels and enduring phenomena through the folk music as the determining starting point.
